Course description

A Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) permits drivers to operate single vehicles with a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of 26,001 pounds or more, as well as certain Class C vehicles with the proper endorsements. Vehicles commonly driven with a Class B CDL include straight trucks, city and school buses, tourist buses, dump trucks, cement mixers, and delivery trucks. Unlike Class A, Class B does not allow towing trailers over 10,000 pounds without upgrading to Class A.
